| A
low pressure trough deepened dramatically over SA, causing many squally
storms over eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke peninsula, the Mid North,
Adelaide, and the Mallee.
The low pulled in warm, moist air along the eastern flank of a developing cold front, with much colder air behind. |

| 19th-20th January 2005 | ||
| A
long-lived line of thunderstorms developed over the northern outskirts of
Adelaide around midnight on the 19th and moved slowly southwards over the
metro area.
The storms developed in the moist northerlies along a low pressure trough, with help from a sharp upper low that really kicked them off! It was almost a non-stop show of lightning over the city from midnight to 4am on the morning of the 20th. |

| An extraordinary day with up to 45 towns and locations across SA breaking their all-time April maximum temperature record!! Adelaide recorded its hottest ever April temperature with it reaching 36.9C.This was then equalled a week later!!! List of all maximum records broken. |

A trough moving through late on the evening of the 5th December produced several high-based thunderstorms in SA.
The first storms hit Adelaide about 12.30am on the 6th December, with further storms around 2.30am and 4.30am. |
