25th November 2002

Scattered thunderstorms affected South Australia on the 25th. At Mount Wedge, near Elliston on the Eyre Peninsula, sheds were unroofed. At Oodnadatta (Far North district), a wind squall to 100 km/h was recorded and on nearby Allendale station, roofing was blown off, and 30 mm of rain and hail fell in 5-10 minutes. A 91 km/h wind gust occurred at Moomba (Far North district).
In Adelaide's eastern and southern suburbs and the Mount Lofty Ranges, the thunderstorms brought down trees and caused localised flash flooding. Several 20-30 mm falls were reported, with 22 mm recorded in about 10 minutes at Nairne. 69mm was recorded at Parawa. A waterspout was observed off the northern metropolitan coastline.
